Summer Fun Days at ESHC: A Week of Adventure, Creativity, and Connection

Each August, Evergreen Speech and Hearing Clinic presents Summer Fun Days – a spirit week where speech therapy becomes an adventure. This year’s event, held August 11-15, continued the tradition with give themed days that transformed the clinic into a world of exploration. Therapy rooms, hallways, and the lobby became beaches, jungles, and picnic spots. Patients arrived eager to participate, staff embraced the themes, and families joined in the fun – creating an environment where speech therapy truly comes alive.

This Year’s Themes

• World Explorer Day: We invited patients to make passports and flags, “traveling” the globe without ever stepping outside the clinic. Many families said it felt like a mini trip around the world. Kids loved stamping their pages and waving their country flags.
• Tuesday Tourist Day: Featured everyone decorating sunglasses, vacation photos, and stories of favorite places. The sunglasses activity brought lots of smiles and laughter.
• Summer Splash Day: Was a beach-themed hit, complete with watercrafts and beach balls. Many said it was one of the week’s favorite days, with summer outfits adding to the fun.
• Jungle Adventure Day: Brought the wild indoors with binoculars and animal spotting games. Kids were highly engaged and excited to explore.
• Summer Camp Picnic Day: We wrapped up the week with bracelets, games, and snacks. The picnic spirit made the clinic feel like a real summer camp.
