The workshop was held in Philadelphia, and covered digital recordings, the screening process, transcription of American English Speech using IPA, interpretation of evaluation results, creating customized therapy plans, measuring results and much more.<\/p>\n
Strong accents can create communication problems that may have negative effects on job performance, educational advancement, and everyday life activities. It may also negatively affect your self-esteem if you are having trouble communicating because of an accent. For all of these reasons, some people want to modify or change their accent. (ASHA.org<\/a>)<\/p>\n The speech team is excited to have an inservice on the newest techniques in accent modification.\u00a0We’re excited to offer this program to our patient base starting October 1st.
