We kicked off Better Hearing and Speech Month Monday May 2nd in all three offices and hit the ground running with a month filled with awareness and celebration. During the month we handed out <a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/media\/set\/?set=a.10150558970600640.662388.94251370639\">4000 earplugs<\/a> and logged over 350+ hours of volunteer work and involvement from our staff members! Some of our favorite events included our &#8220;chEAR&#8221; section at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/media\/set\/?set=a.10150573185980640.667412.94251370639\">Kirkland Half Marathon and 5K<\/a>, a special presentation &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/media\/set\/?set=a.10150616710890640.678005.94251370639&amp;saved\">An Evening with the King<\/a>&#8221; that hosted wonderful questions and awareness on stuttering, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/media\/set\/?set=a.10150598725070640.672179.94251370639\">new technology special event<\/a> for our patients followed by our first ever <a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/media\/set\/?set=a.10150607969645640.674781.94251370639\">Advanced Communication Workshop<\/a> hosted in partnership with the University of Washington! We topped off the month of events with four days of hearing awareness at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/media\/set\/?set=a.10150615440005640.677544.94251370639\">Northwest Folklife Festival<\/a> letting concertgoers know how important it is to protect their ears!<\/p>\n<p>Let us know how you celebrated Better Hearing and Speech Month or what your favorite event was that you attended by posting on our <a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/everhear\">facebook wall<\/a>!
