{"id":2690,"date":"2011-06-29T10:25:38","date_gmt":"2011-06-29T17:25:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.everhear.com\/?p=2011"},"modified":"2022-09-29T14:10:13","modified_gmt":"2022-09-29T21:10:13","slug":"physicians-and-early-intervention","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/everhear.com\/physicians-and-early-intervention\/","title":{"rendered":"Physicians and Early Intervention"},"content":{"rendered":"<p id=\"p-1\">You probably already know how important early identification of developmental delays (including hearing, speech and language) is for the health and well being of infants and toddlers, but did you know that <strong>less than half<\/strong> of pediatricians screen for developmental delays?<\/p>\n<p>In a study released this week by the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/pediatrics.aappublications.org\/content\/early\/2011\/06\/23\/peds.2010-2180.abstract\">Journal of the American Academy of Pediatrics<\/a> it was found that nearly half of\u00a0pediatricians\u00a0almost always screen for developmental delays during checkups.
