\t\t\t\t\"Chris<\/a>We had our first recording in our new Musician\u2019s room at our Kirkland facility.\u00a0 This specialty room allows musicians to hear what it is like to experience in-the-ear monitors.\u00a0 Rather than picking up unwanted sound from adjacent floor monitors, the musician can now feed the audio input that they desire into their own personal ear level monitors.\u00a0 Have you ever noticed how musicians often pull one of their monitors out of their ears during a live performance?\u00a0 This is usually due to the audio engineer delivering an unwanted mix to the musician ears.\u00a0 As you can see here, I obviously delivered the wrong sound to Chris.\u00a0 Musicians are often at the mercy of the sound engineer during a live performance.\u00a0 This is now becoming a thing of the past since new technology allows you to set the mix to your monitors on an iPad without having to deal with the sound engineer.\u00a0 There are several advantages to In-Ear-Monitors (IEMs); First and foremost is hearing protection.\u00a0 They isolate the musician from loud stage volumes.\u00a0 For singers, this isolation allows for better pitch control and reduces vocal fatigue.\u00a0 Secondly, you hear only what you want fed into your monitors thus eliminating any unwanted bleed of the other floor speakers. Thirdly, there is an absent of feedback between the microphone and floor monitors.\u00a0 Finally, this eliminates the need for expenses wedges and amplifiers and all of the work that it takes to set up and tear down the sound system.<\/p>\n
