She was diagnosed with Autism at a young age, and at the time her doctors recommended that she be institutionalized. Her mother was her advocate, and rejected the doctors decisions, and focused her energies in other areas, including acting. At age 17 Hannah moved to Los Angeles to pursue her passion. Although she enjoyed being a part of the filming, she never felt comfortable speaking to others and refused to appear on talk shows or attend premieres.
