\t\t\t\tThe speech team here at Evergreen has been busy with continuing education. During the fall months the group has taken courses online and working together to learn more about each topic.<\/p>\n
Jennifer Arenz had the opportunity to be a part of four courses during the month of September; Music Therapy and the Emergence of Spoken Language in Children with Autism, Diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorders, Behavioral Strategies within Social Skills Intervention, Assessment and Intervention Using Low-Tech and No-Tech Procedures. The entire team had the opportunit to discuss and go over the techniques learned in her final course given by Ann W. Kummer, PhD, CCC-SLP from the Universtiy of Cincinnati.<\/p>\n
Arenz also had the opportunity to attend a National Voice chapter meeting that covered the topic of the performer’s voice. Both Speech Program Director Maryam Sadrzadeh and Clinic Director Ruth Norwood were also in attendance.\t\t<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
