Almost all hearing aids come with a protective storage case. Newer rechargeable hearing aids are equipped with a charging case, so you can store and charge your hearing aids at the same time.

Putting your hearing aids in a case helps you keep both devices together. The case allows you to put the hearing aids in your drawer or purse without having to worry about them rattling around and getting damaged.

If your pet does get ahold of the case,
chances are they will be unable to open it and get to the hearing aids. This
prevents them from getting ill or being unable to pass a foreign object, which
can require costly and painful surgery.

Identify the Best Storage Location

There are a number of options when it
comes to the best place to store your hearing aids. Those living in pet-free
homes can opt for anywhere, as long as it is cool and dry. Those with furry
friends need to be more careful.

The bathroom vanity or a high windowsill
may seem like good spots, but they have their downfalls. The bathroom gets
humid and warm, and you risk knocking them into the sink (hearing aids, like
most electronic devices, should not get wet). A windowsill gets a lot of sunlight
and heat, which can damage the hearing ads.
