Queen Elizabeth II set an example to her UK subjects and the world when wearing hearing protection during 60-year Diamond Jubilee rock concert celebration. The photograph of the Queen wearing earplugs was posted in Britain’s Daily Mail following the concert from Sir Paul McCartney, Sir Elton John and many others.
The Queen shows that it is important to think about protecting your hearing at any age. Rock concerts can be incredibly dangerous to your hearing ability, and by wearing earplugs, the danger is reduced significantly.
We love seeing examples of healthy hearing and commend the Queen of England on setting a good example. Hopefully her image will help inspire people of all ages to protect their ears with hearing protection.
