Evergreen Speech and Hearing Clinic office building in Washington

Who We Are

Evergreen Speech and Hearing Clinic opened its doors in 1979 as a family owned and operated practice. The philosophy of the practice was to help people in the Seattle community experience the best audiological care possible. Over the years we have expanded to include a full range of hearing and balance services as well as a full speech and language department. Although our clinic has grown to three locations, we still live by our philosophy of helping every person we can experience better communication through our comprehensive hearing and speech services.

Maryam has impressive experience, including tutoring students with disabilities at University of Minnesota; owning and operating a family daycare for four years in Boston; being a Research Assistant in a Child Language Lab at University of Arizona; along with many certifications in the field of speech-language pathology.

Maryam loves seeing a child turn their ideas into spoken or written words. Jennifer comes from a family of registered nurses and teachers. She discovered her passion for the field of speech-language pathology while in college and loves that she can take the best parts of medicine and teaching and apply them to her work. Jennifer loves getting to partner with patients and their support people to help them achieve their communication goals. Communication touches every part of our lives and is deeply personal; she loves the challenge of customizing therapy to meet her patients’ individual needs.

Jessica has always been fascinated by learning different languages and cultures. In college, she studied Spanish and Hebrew extensively (she has a working knowledge of Hebrew), and she also took classes in Arabic and French. Jessica has always wanted to work with people and Speech Pathology is a perfect combination of her interest in language and desire to help others. Now, she finds it incredibly rewarding hearing how her patient’s improvements in their communication are impacting their lives in real ways outside of the treatment room.

Outside of work, Jessica enjoys cooking and exploring all the Pacific Northwest has to offer with her partner and 3-year-old daughter.

For as long as Maivy can remember she has wanted to work with people. She discovered the field of speech-language pathology while she was in college when her friend encouraged her to take an introductory course. Maivy resonated with the topic of bilingual language development and the acquisition of language milestones. She was inspired to help others find their voices, to have opportunities to address multiple modalities of speech and language development, and to work closely with families.

Outside of work, Maivy enjoys taking group fitness classes, finding and enjoying happy hour menus around the Seattle area, cooking and baking, attending board game nights, crafting, and spending time with her partner and dog. Maivy is bilingual in Vietnamese and English.
