Joseph Cerquone, director of Public Relations for the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) recently posted an article on Hearing Health Matters titled Screaming Their Ears Out highlighting the importance of hearing protection at football games.
The staff at Evergreen Speech and Hearing clinic are true Seahawks fans! However, we also realize the importance of protecting ears from tinnitus (ringing in the ears) and Noise Induced Hearing Loss. With the excitement of the Seahawks in the playoffs we urge you to please protect your ears.
Ringing in your ears after exposure to loud sounds is a serious condition. It may go away after a few hours but after enough exposure to loud noise the ringing can become permanent. Protecting your ears from permanent damage does not make you any less of a fan. Stop by our Redmond location this Friday or Saturday morning on your way to the game to pick up a free pair of earplugs. Our clinic is located at 8301 161st Ave NE #208 Redmond, WA 98052.
