Did you know that this week (April 18-24) is National Volunteer Week? The week was declared in 1974, and calls people throughout the nation into action to help others.
ESHC is celebrating this week by digging in and putting together over 7500 earplugs to be distributed throughout the month of May for Better Hearing and Speech Month. The earplugs will be going to runners in the Kirkland Half Marathon, attendees of the NW Folklife Festival, the Redmond Senior Center and visitors to any of our three office locations. It is our hope to help increase awareness of the dangers of loud noises, and help prevent Noise Induced Hearing Loss (NIHL).
Thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers for helping put together earplugs for our communities! Our ears thank you!
