Last night, Speech Program Director, Maryam Sadrzadeh, was invited to speak to a group of women who were from the Mothers and More organization about children’s speech and language development. Maryam was able to provide answers regarding the relationships between hearing and speech and language development, bilingualism, and literacy skills.
Throughout the evening, Maryam provided parents with personalized strategies to facilitate improved speech and language skills. The mothers were very excited to be able to ask specific questions about their own situations at home and also engaged in discussions on each topic that was discussed. The night was a great learning experience that allowed parents to take home many tips that would aid them in nurturing their children’s speech and language development.
