We received word this weekend that Mayor of Redmond John Marcione signed a proclamation declaring the month of May as Better Hearing and Speech Month following a proclamation and resolution sent to the City of Redmond earlier in the month. “We’re excited that the City of Redmond recognizes the importance of generating awareness of the more than 42 million Americans living with a communication disorder,” says Clinic Director Ruth Norwood.
The Proclamation is just one of the ways the clinic helps raise awareness during the month long celebration. Look forward to events throughout the Puget Sound area that focus on the importance of hearing health awareness, literacy, and speech language disorders.
