In an effort to further educate our patient’s and the public on hearing protection options, our current fourth year audiology interns, Deborah Miller and Kailen Judge, took on protection education as their clinic project. The goal was to create education for the entire lifespan of hearing health.
Deborah’s project looked at how to educate the public on how to protect children’s hearing health. This was accomplished by creating a brochure that will soon be available in all three of our offices. The brochure helps further explain the potential dangers that are present everyday to young ears. It also gives resources for further information, and products to help limit the dangers of noise induced hearing loss.
In order to educate adults on the many different hearing protection options available, Kailen took to the web to generate awareness. The newest section of our website on hearing protection was further updated with tips from the pros and facts on what each form of protection is best used for.
We hope you have a chance to look at their work and see how hearing protection might best fit in you or your child’s life.
