As you prepare for your 4th of July celebration, we encourage you to pack earplugs wherever you might be headed to protect your ears against the loud sounds of fireworks. The single bang of a firecracker at close range can permanently damage hearing in an instant.
We’ve prepared some simple “rules” to follow to keep your ears safe this Independence day:
- Leave the firework detonation to the pros!
- Sit at a comfortable distance from the fireworks display
- Wear earplugs that are securely in place prior to the start of the fireworks show
- Keep your earplugs in for the entire show
