Doctor of Audiology Terence Limb started off Better Hearing and Speech Month this past Friday a little early by presenting to teens at the Environmental Adventure School on how to listen smart and safe. His presentation taught them about the ear, along with how sound can damage the delicate anatomy within. They were also given the opportunity to see just how loud iPods and MP3 players are with a sound level reader, comparing the sounds to the likeness of a jack hammer or siren!
Look for many more opportunities in the coming months to learn about hearing conservation. Visit our special Better Hearing and Speech Month website to learn more about how you can join in the celebration and awareness!
