Going the distance to make a difference, knowing it’s worth that extra mile, to see such a heartwarming smile.
When a child’s laughter is more than an echo, when a simple hello is more than a whisper, when the rain on the roof and the wind in the trees is much more than rhythm to please.
Caring enough to know what’s right, helping a child to be so much more.
A matter of time, a pocket of patience, another lost letter, just one more to find.
The words are a key to an open door.
Something so special, something so right, coming together for someone in need.
An echo of sound, a whispering voice, a flicker of light, a glimmer of hope.
Something so special, Something so right.
This poem was originally written and dedicated to the employees of Evergreen Speech & Hearing Clinic (ESHC) in honor of ESHC’S 25th anniversary. Now 10 years later, I once again honor the employees of ESHC for 35 years of something special and so,so right. I am excited to share my thoughts with our readers on the blog as a new contributor to everhear.com.
