Our tride and true therapy dog (in traning) Ritter is off to the Kirkland office this morning to begin his Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT) training four days a week. For nearly two months Ritter (along with his trainer, speech-language pathologist Jennifer Dierenfeld) has been working with children in the Redmond office, honing his skills as ESHC’s first therapy pup. Both Jennifer and Ritter have participated in rigurous training that will continue through his first year as he prepares to take the official therapy dog exam.
We are excited to introduce Ritter to the patients and families of the Kirkland office and offer this wonderful and unique experience to aid in speech and language. To learn more about Ritter and to follow his journey to becoming a full-fledge therapy dog, become his friend on facebook!
