On Saturday, January 10th our Speech Language Pathologists attended a conference hosted by the Northwest Voice Foundation and Northwest Academy of Otolaryngology in downtown Seattle. More than 70 voice professionals (Otolaryngologists, SLP’s, and Voice Teachers) attended the all-day seminar.
The morning session included discussion on many prevalent topic including; current concepts in vocal fold paralysis, glottic injectables, irritable larynx, and epidemiology of a performer’s dysphonia.
A panel discussion followed the morning session where six physicians discussed their protocols for diagnosis and treatment of specific case examples. Our professionals enjoyed the opportunity to advance their vocal knowledge, and the ability to speak with other professionals about collaboration and patient care.
